Robot is a reference to the death effect from video game Mega Man.Portal is a reference to the Valve game series Portal, as likely evidenced from the color of the two portals.The sound effect used in the kill effect is also from the game. Ice is another effect based on TF2, originating from the Spy-cicle.The sound effect is the same with the effect as well. Gold is based on a TF2 kill effect that can be found on the Golden Wrench, Saxxy, and the Golden Frying Pan.Sans is a kill effect based on Sans from the popular game Undertale.Moderated and Banned both reference ROBLOX's infamous tendency to ban/moderate various things, with the emblem present being the symbol.Hyperlaser is also a reference to a ROBLOX gear, which player into a light blue outline upon killing them.SkullCane is yet another reference to a ROBLOX gear that produced the same effect in game.Similarly, Darkheart is based on the kill effect produced by the Darkheart sword in ROBLOX.Mjolnir is a reference to an old ROBLOX gear that produced the same effect as shown in game and it produced the same explosions sound as the old ROBLOX.It also has the same bass boosted sound effect. Donut is a reference to an infamous scene from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, in which notable side character Noriaki Kakyoin is perforated through the stomach by antagonist, DIO, and his stand, The World, hence the name "Donut".Anvil is a reference to slapstick from old cartoons, in which many characters would comedically be bashed in the head by a falling anvil.It has been notorious for its obnoxious sound and long-lasting ragdoll, which only occurs with laser-based weapons. ![]() Evaporate is based on a kill effect existent in Team Fortress 2, which ROLVe takes inspiration from.Toasty is very likely a reference to the cult classic meme'd line from MORTAL KOMBAT.This effect also plays an error sound from Windows XP for comedic effect. Error is a reference to "Missing Textures", an occurrence in valve games where a pink and black checkerboard pattern is placed as a stand in for missing textures.Fade is likely a reference to the infamous scene from Avengers: Infinity War, in which half of the cast turned to dust.Many of the kill effects are references to several memes and other media.The Scoobis kill effect was initially exclusive in Flair cases, however on 10/05/19 it was put in the item shop.Originally, the Fade kill effect was going to make the enemy turn into black sparkles.
